REDIPS.table is small JavaScript library which enables interactive or through script merging and splitting table cells. REDIPS.table.onMouseDown() public method will activate onMouseDown event listeners on TD elements to enable mark cells with mouse button. Additional feature is appending / deleting table rows / cells.
Example shows drag-n-drop functionality in combination with animation. Tables are closed within separated drag containers and actions from any table are mirrored to the other table. Elements can be shuffled or reset to the initial position.
REDIPS.drag was initially built to drag and drop table content. After publishing first version of REDIPS.drag, I received a lot of questions about dragging table rows also. Now is possible to drag and drop table rows as well as table content.
With insertRow() method you can insert a new row at the specified position in HTML table. After row is created, use insertCell() method to insert a table cell. Wrap this methods in JavaScript functions and you have code to dynamically add new rows and columns in the HTML table.
